This was my first taste of Pedras' Ristow Estate bottling. The vineyard is now 20 years old (most vineyards live for around 40 years) and its rocky terrain lends a minerality to the wine that is largely missing from Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley. It is difficult to find a wine anywhere in France that expresses terroir without minerality; maybe that's the secret... $60; 89 points
