Peter Michael Winery 'Mon Plaisir' 2006

The 2006 vintage is a sleeper favorite of mine Sir Peter Michael really caught lightning in a bottle with the "Mon Plaisir" bottling -- a rich and full-bodied white that's full of butterscotch and French oak.  Like Dominus and Chateau Montelena, this bottling from Peter Michael shows the French that white Burgundy can be coaxed out of California fruit too.   Thanks to John Robb for bringing the magnum to the tasting!  $250 (1.5L); 93 points
