We enjoyed this Streicker chardonnay at the home of Margaret Streicker and Eric Porres in NYC's Chelsea neighborhood -- it was one of the opening whites amongst 25 wines that we tasted over the course of the evening! Drinking it with a member of the family that's on the label is always fun, but what makes this even more enjoyable to me is the way it presents itself -- low oak, light honeysuckle and bosc pear, fantastic minerality and very little butter & oak on the palate and finish. The antithesis of typical California chardonnay (of which I am not a fan). 91 points
