Thanks for tasting this Cape Mentelle wine, the current vintage of this wine is 2008 and it is not really a wine built for cellaring so I was a little surprised to see the '04 tasted. As you note the crisp acid on this wine has started to fall away over time but there's still some of the fruit core remaining. If you can locate a more recent vintage give it a go.
