I brought this single vineyard bottling from Clarendon Hills to Eric's down-under tasting -- I'd had it in my cellar for eight years and was waiting for the right occasion to open it... I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is not overextracted (1998 was a near perfect weather year in Oz and many of the Shiraz are huge) the mouthfeel is polished showing plummy purple fruit and a slightly sugary finish (which is tied to its age). $75; 93 points

Some was left in the bottle overnight, and by the next day it was smooth like a Coltrane melody.
