Fog rarely climbs above 900 feet (thus the Thousand Foot name), so the grapes spend more time in extended sunlight. Raspberry and dark cherry. Drinking well in its youth 2006. $18; 87 points

Last night a group of friends enjoyed a bottle of Thousand Foot, Russian River Valley 2006 Pinot Noir that we happened to have in our cabinet. We live on the east coast, so not sure how we got it, but I would like to purchase some more. Do you know who might sell this wine in the Washington, D.C. area?

1000ft is a bold flavorful Pinot which I just discovered tonight- Purchased a bottle after a small sample in the wine and spirit shop in Venice, ca. Lightly sweet- not too dry - hints of cherry and raspberry oak.
