Vina Mayor is distributed pretty widely (25+ countries) for a winery that has only been around for 20 years.
Jason Krebs (on the far left in this picture) brought this wine to Dave Morgan's tasting, and I thought it fell flat (albeit against some very strong competition). The black fruit was bland and lifeless (like a large production California Cabernet Sauvignon or Pays D'Oc wine), and there was no complexity or sense of place to this bottling.

Bottom Line: Run-of-the-mill.
