This red table wine is from Malagon, a central region north of Cordoba (that's not to be confused with Malaga on the coast).
This unspecified blend was clearly made from vines that were producing more than 5 tons/acre -- there wasn't anything distinctive about the fruit or acid/oak elements. Mark Westlake (shown in the foreground in the blue shirt) needs to ask for advice on Spanish wines from a different wine store!
$15; 83 points
Bottom Line: Even if it was half the price, I'd avoid this wine.

Taste this one again, please. You couldn't be more wrong. A drink now, smooth silky wine full of buttery oak and rich fruit taste. Nose is a bit reticent. Try this in a blind tasting with 10 others and you will be the only one with a score under 87.
